The excitement that ensued when EA announced that it had signed a multi-year publishing contract with Disney for the Star Wars franchise was borderline maniacal. Well, it was for me, at least!
Fans of the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise will be eager to hear about EA’s teasing of a new Battlefront game. EA’s CFO Blake Jorgensen had this to say:
“The opportunity to do a new Battlefront, for example, which is one of the very popular Star Wars games, or some of the other traditional games that were made, is very exciting.”
With the Battlefront series sharing many similarities in gameplay to EA’s hugely successful Battlefield series, things are looking promising for Battlefront‘s future.
EA have the potential to really make fans happy here. With the plethora of talented developers at their disposal, they could really make something truly epic.
Let’s hope that this tease is the beginning of something brilliant. Are you excited at the prospect of another Battlefront game?
