We reported that Sniper Elite 3 will be released sometime in 2014, though at the time, we only knew that it would be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and next-generation consoles. Well, the Sniper Elite 3 website popped up, divulging a bit more information about the game.
According to the site, Sniper Elite 3 will once again have OSS sniper Karl Fairburne as the main protagonist, which means the World War II setting will be carried over. In addition, there will be “all-new environments, a more refined gameplay experience and a brand new storyline.”
Jason Kingsley, CEO of the game’s developer, Rebellion, says that the studio will focus on making Sniper Elite 3 “more of a sandbox game but also build on the awesome X-Ray Kill Cam and the atmospheric World War II setting.”
Finally, it is confirmed that there will be, in fact, a PC version of the game. Yay!
Sniper Elite V2 was a pleasant surprise, with the game actually being fun to play. I have high hopes for Sniper Elite 3, so here’s hoping the developer comes through.
