Ruh-roh! The Steam Content Distribution Record database usually does a good job of covering its tracks by keeping titles of unannounced games hidden (ex: “ValveTestApp217140″), but it might have slipped up this time.
Thanks to some NeoGAF members scraping together achievement data and images from Steam and SteamDB, the Steam CDR revealed content for games that are not listed on Steam: Deadpool, Mortal Kombat, and Skulls of the Shogun. In addition, other listings showed The King of Fighters XIII, Castle of Illusion, and Strider.
It’s interesting because not only was a release of Deadpool for PC confirmed, but as recently as February, a similar excavation showed listings for Dyad and Fez. Funny enough, both titles were confirmed for release on Steam.
We’ll update with new information as developers and publishers of the above games make official statements. Of any kind, really. That’s the kind of hard work we do, after all.
