Major Nelson, through his blog, denounced the reports on the Xbox One’s used game policy, calling them “inaccurate and incomplete.” Ironic, since those are accurate descriptions of Microsoft’s statements so far.
The ability to trade in and resell games is important to gamers and to Xbox. Xbox One is designed to support the trade in and resale of games. Reports about our policies for trade in and resale are inaccurate and incomplete. We will disclose more information in the near future.
I mean, what kind of response is this? Whose fault is it that these reports are inaccurate and incomplete? Remember that, at the Xbox One reveal event, Microsoft representatives didn’t have one cohesive statement for topics that the company should have seen would come up.
Nelson’s non-comments are quite ambiguous, as well. They don’t help, but rather, compound the confusion that has surrounded recent Xbox One news. Good job, Microsoft!
