IGN’s parent company, Ziff Davis Inc who are also the parent company of 1UP, IGN, UGO, and PC Magazine has emailed developers who have previously won awards to offer them a rare opportunity, they’re offering the chance to buy the rights to use one of their game of the year logos, at $500 a pop.
Notch, furious posted pictures of the email onto Imgur, this could be a scam, or Notch trolling which isn’t something he usually does. Notch tweeted:
“Wow, we won like a million awards from these amazing scam artists”
The picture also gloats about how their seal of approval is the best known, and how large their magazines and websites are.
Thanks, NeoGAF.
