Are you ready for more Battlefield games in the near future? Ready or not, EA is getting ready for the long haul, as the publisher has registered Battlefield 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 domains.
EA registered each name on May 2, through brand protection agency Corporation Service Company (CSC), which the publisher adds to ever-growing Battlefield presence when they bought Battlefield2.com, all the way to Battlefield9.com.
Oddly enough, Battlefield10.com up to Battlefield12.com are not owned by the publisher, but I’m guessing it’s only a matter of time until they do.
Of course, this could just very well be EA protecting its (arguably) most high-profile brand. But at the same time, seeing how big the Battlefield franchise is today, I wouldn’t put it past them if they’are already making a road map to the franchise’s future iterations.
So, I guess we should get ready for a LOT more Battlefield games then, right? What do you make of this, Battlefield fans? Are you ready to play the game all the way up to its 20th sequel?
The next game in the series, Battlefield 4, is set to ship later this year for both current and next-gen consoles.
Thanks, Fusible
