DICE will unleash the long awaited Battlefield 4 Beta this week, and in anticipation they posted a few notes on the EA Help page. One note stood out in particular – regarding the long awaited return of Commander Mode from Battlefield 2. According to the site notes, players in the Beta can:
Earn Battlepacks containing a combination of new weapon accessories, dog tags, knives, XP boosts and other customization options to load out your soldier.Continue the fight in the Siege of Shanghai, complete with full Levelution in both large and small Conquest modes, as well as Domination.Commander Mode will be unavailable during the beta, but lucky, eagle-eyed players might catch a glimpse of DICE employees as Commanders on live servers.Apparently these “eagle-eyed” players will be able to identify the DICE Commanders in the scoreboard – but we haven’t seen a screenshot on how they will be indicated. Some Redditors expressed their disappointment that they would be unable to test the Commander Mode before the full version.
If you’re not sure how to join the Beta, you can check the availability chart below.
