Rare, the former Nintendo studio responsible for hits such as Jet Force Gemini and Killer Instinct before being bought out by Microsoft, is now hiring a bunch of people for a “jaw-dropping” Kinect game.
The studio is now looking a technical engineer, region design manager and expert physics engineer over on Microsoft’s career site.
What’s interesting here is the region design manager who will asssist with ”the next jaw-dropping, never-been-done-before Rare project”. Advantageous criteria include “experience of motion gaming, especially Kinect technology”.
Could this be for a core Kinect game? Or maybe just a sequel to Kinect Sports for the Xbox 720?
While the platform the game will be on hasn’t been revealed, I think it’s safe to say that with the studio just hiring now, that’s it’s for the next-gen Xbox.
Can Rare reclaim back its former glory? For the sake of fans everywhere, let’s hope so.
