In a rather strange move, Ubisoft published system requirements for Battlefield 4 on it’s Uplay game store. But one EA employee doesn’t think that they’re genuine.
Origin Producer Redditor Offspring said, “I don’t believe the final system requirements have been decided yet, and this looks a lot like placeholder system requirements from BF3 with a couple of tweaks. I know everyone’s excited for BF4 news, but I wouldn’t trust an Ubisoft page with system requirements for it just yet.”
Oddly enough, the system requirements posted on Uplay seem to be less than those required for the Alpha trial. The Uplay page isn’t in English, but following are the requirements that they’ve posted:
MinimumOS: Windows Vista (Service Pack 1) 32-bitProcessor: Processor: 2 GHz Dual Core (Core2 Duo 2.4 GHzor Althon X2 2.7 GHz)Memory: 2 GB System RAMHard Drive: 20 GBVideo Card:DirectX 10.1 compatible with 512 MB RAMSound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
RecommendedOS: Windows 7 64-bitProcessor: Quad-core CPUMemory: 4 GBHard Drive: 20 GBVideo Card: DirectX 11 compatible with 1024 MB RAM (NVIDIAGeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950)Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
Compare this with Alpha requirements:
OS: Vista SP2, Win7 (Win8 not supported)64 bit (32 bit not supported)Dx10 or Dx 11 GPU with 1+GB of RAM, Dx 11 highly recommended25GB HDD free space requiredLatest Origin version required
Doesn’t make sense to us either.
