It’s officially official! EA has announced that it will unveil DICE’s Battlefield 4 on March 26 in San Francisco!
While we already know EA’s invites for this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC) event are hued with the franchise’s colors, it’s now set in stone, as EA will use the conference to usher in a “new era of Battlefield.” By that, I’m guessing a next-gen showcase of some sort…at least I’m hoping it is (via GameSpot).
So, what do you hope to see at the unveiling? I’m hoping for a proper trailer complete with gameplay footage of the multiplayer for next-gen consoles. But sadly, that might be asking too much. Maybe we’ll get a 30-second teaser of the logo with the franchise’s familiar soundtrack with a vehicle or two to spice things up?
There you have it, Battlefield fans. Mark March 26 on your calendars now and be prepared to have your socks blown off or feel underwhelmed. It’s all on DICE and EA at this point on.
Also of note, Andrew Reiner, executive editor of Game Informer magazine, also tweeted this image with the caption: “Here it is again: Your first look at something related to Battlefield 4″ and mentions the image below is part of the GDC invite.
The image itself is what looks to be a blurry image of a tank, with rain falling down.
Could this mean Game Informer will once again be the publication used to launch the game? Battlefield fans might remember that the magazine also had the first scoop on Battlefield 3.
I guess we’ll have to wait for 10 more days to find out.

What would you like to see EA unveil at GDC? Also, what do you realistically think will the publisher show off?
