For those interested in the PS4′s GPU, CPU and other technical aspects, you might be delighted by this little rumor.
According to PS4Daily, the PlayStation 4′s CPU will have a final clock speed of 2 GHz. While, “Previous leaks put the clock speed at 1.6 GHz, but that was for development kits. The final clock speed for the 8-core AMD CPU will be bumped up 2 GHz,” at least according to their “source.”
Now, I’ll be honest. I haven’t heard of PS4 Daily before this, so take this with a large grain of salt, if you know what I mean. Nonetheless, it’s rumor thrown into the PS4 hat.
In the grand scheme of things, does the CPU clock speed being bumped up from 1.6 GHz to 2 GHz that big of a difference-maker?
