Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection to be split into two Blu-ray discs

There is so much Metal Gear Solid in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection that Konami saw fit to put the collection on two Blu-ray discs.

Konami showed off what will be included in the compilation for Japanese gamers, which include:

• Metal Gear
• Metal Gear 2
• Metal Gear Solid
• Metal Gear Solid Integral
• Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD
• Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD
• Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (with trophy support)
• Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
• Metal Gear Solid: Digital Graphic Novel
• Metal Gear Solid 2: Digital Graphic Novel
• 100 page Legacy book

Interestingly, Metal Gear Solid Integral is also thrown in. It is an expanded version of Metal Gear Solid that was only released in Japan. Integral features content from international versions of Metal Gear Solid, a First Person Perspective mode, over 300 VR missions, and PocketStation minigames, among other features.

Integral is not on either disc, but Konami has thrown in a download code through Game Archives from the PlayStation Store.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will release in Japan on July 11 for 7,980 yen ($80), with a North American release date sometime this June. Unfortunately, the European release date has yet to be announced.
