Activision has today announced what people will get for pre-ordering Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Sent via a press release, Call of Duty fans will get a “dynamic map” called “Free Fall,” which Activision states will be a “constantly changing environment.”
One example of this is it highlighted on the press release, which you can read below:
Free Fall drops players into a shattered skyscraper on the brink of collapse. Sideways staircases climb into the night sky, elevator shafts run along the ground, and what were once windows now form a terrifying glass floor, hundreds of feet above the city streets. Free Fall‘s close-quarters combat and frenetic action are then thrown into overdrive as the ruined skyscraper continues to fall throughout the match. With every drop, the accompanying shockwaves cause further destruction, disrupting sightlines and constantly evolving paths and chokepoints as the map changes in real-time.
Not to incite any fanboy wars, but this eerily sounds like something from Battlefield, no? Mind you, that’s not a bad thing, since one of Battlefield’s strengths is in its levels and how it constantly changes.
Is this enough for you to pre-order the game? And more importantly, is this a sign that Call of Duty’s vaunted multiplayer is changing from its usual routine?
Call of Duty: Ghosts will be out this November 5 for the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4.
