Sony’s handheld gaming console the PlayStation Vita could be getting a long-awaited price drop, a leaked Target ad suggests.
Reportedly for the week of Aug. 18 through Aug. 24, the Target ad, found by the Blu-Ray Forum, shows the Vita for $200. Currently, the Wi-Fi version is $250 and the 3G version is $300.
The handheld got a price cut in Japan in February, but Sony’s Head of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida said North America would not get a similar price drop.
Sony will hold a press conference on Aug. 20 in Cologne, Germany, the day before Gamescom 2013 begins, where it could formally announce the price drop.
