It has been reported that Sony has filed for certification in South Korea for two new PS3 models: CECH-4205B and CECH-4205C.
A Kotaku tipster has said that the new models could be slight variations of the super slim PS3 (CECH-4000), and that changes could include: a smaller nanometer architecture, lower power consumption, and better cooling.
Apparently, a new PS3 model, CECH-4200, was spotted earlier this month on a webpage for Japan’s Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications. It could be that the variation in model numbers between the South Korean and Japanese filings could be regional.
Sony’s PS3 Slim launched as CECH-2000.
