Microsoft have revealed their profits for the third quarter of the fiscal year which ended March 31, 2013. The Entertainment and Devices Division which is home to the Xbox franchise saw a revenue of over 50%, putting it at $2.53 billion. GamesIndustry International reports.

This news comes after the gloomy reveal from Capcom. Xbox Live has had an 18% increase in users putting the service at just under 50 millions users.

In particular the Xbox 360 platform saw a 55% increase in revenue which would play a huge part towards the $2.53 billion revenue from the Entertainment and Devices Division. Windows Phone’s revenue have also risen by $259 million.

I really didn’t think the Windows Phone would net anywhere near this amount, but keep in mind this is revenue not profit
