Last week, we showed you a video interview of Moby Dick Studio CEO “Joakim Mogren” that might or might not be made using the FOX Engine.
While we’re still wrapping our heads around that one, Mogren has released a new trailer for their debut game, The Phantom Pain.
In the video below, it shows two doctors preparing to perform a medical procedure. However, that’s not the most relevant thing in it. There’s also an accompanying morse code which was translated by YouTube user Aesop Episoden; which states, “Generating image hold scenario loading hold activate phantom pain dot meme hold error error error error.”
Honestly speaking, it’s a known secret that The Phantom Pain is related to Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear franchise. In the video above, a short clip mentions a “VR Program” and a “Project Omega,” with the former being a staple in the MGS franchise, while the latter shares its name with a camp in the original unveiling trailer for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.
We’ll hopefully know more as Mogren and Kojima are expected to hold talks at this month’s upcoming GDC.
