North American League of Legends players might want to change their username and passwords since their accounts have been hacked.
According to CEO of Riot Games, user e-mail addresses, salted password hashes, usernames, first and last names have been accessed by these hackers.
Salted”? “This means that the password files are unreadable, but players with easily guessable passwords are vulnerable to account theft
It remain to be seen how Riot games will handle the situation given that sheer amount of accounts hacked.
This also raises the concern that how these hackers were able to hack the information in the first place.
