Video game retailer admits selling GTA V copies to parents who “didn’t give a damn”

Over on Kotaku, an anonymous video game retailer has written an open letter, revealing that his store had to sell a lot of copies of GTA V to little children accompanied by parents who apparently “didn’t give a damn.”
This startling revelation comes in the midst of all the typical media and political propaganda to project video games in a negative light.
“Last week my store sold over a thousand copies of GTA V, at least a hundred of which were sold to parents for children who could barely even see over my counter,” he said. The retailer mentioned that when he pointed out the adult nature of the video games, he got responses along the lines of, “All his friends already have it.”
The P.E. Perspective: While this doesn’t come as a surprise (as I, too, have witnessed this before), it’s good to see retailers speaking out, especially since politicians and the media are relentlessly defaming video games. Perhaps, poor parenting is no longer an issue?
