Titanfall will use dedicated servers that run in the cloud

If the next generation of consoles is showing us anything, it’s that dedicated servers are finally becoming a “thing.” Respawn Entertainment will look to continue this trend, as it confirmed to VG247 that Titanfall will use dedicated servers.
According to Titanfall producer Drew McCoy, these dedicated servers will run in the cloud, thus eliminating the problem of migrating hosts that other titles, namely Call of Duty, experiences on a constant basis. In other words, if someone quits, the flow of the game will not be affected.
The P.E. Perspective: This is good news, especially for a game like Titanfall that focuses solely on multiplayer. The last thing I want is to have hosts migrate in the middle of a match.
