Should retailers post reviews of consoles that aren’t even launched yet?

We stumbled upon a Tweet by Marc Watson, Mojang’s support manager, who had a few choice words for Best Buy regarding the fact that they are publishing reviews of the next-gen consoles before their launch.
When we looked into it a little more, we found that indeed Best Buy is publishing not only full reviews submitted by users, but ratings also. As you can see below, the PS4 has better “user reviews” than the Xbox One and a higher score also.
What the? How can they publish reviews of consoles that aren’t even out yet? That’s kind of like me writing a review for Half Life 3. Perhaps it’s just standard practice to allow reviews and comments from anything they put up for sale, but isn’t this just a little irresponsible?
What do you think Pixel Nation? Should retailers like Best Buy allow reviews ahead of launch, or does it not matter at all? Who do you think is taking the time to write these reviews? Microsoft employees? Sony PR? One cool thing is that you can see profiles of users who have reviewed items, such as the ‘Top 500 Contributor’ in the image here.
Aside: Some of the reviews are actually worth a read…if just for a laugh or two.
