There is a rumour flying around the interwebs at the minute that suggests that there could be a new Mortal Kombat game on the way that will tie in with the 2015 feature length movie.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy’s producer Lance Sloane was talking to GamehubTV, Sloane, who is also working on the move, gave out a bit of information on the movie’s production and how they are scheduling the release.

Well, we’ve been in greenlight committee for a while at the studio.

We’ve got a great script. And we’ve got a great director with Kevin Tancharoen, who is on board. It’s just figuring out the business side of it and when we would do it and when we would launch it and how do we sync up with the launch of the game they’re working on now. It’s not 100% yet, but we’re getting closer every day.

All I can think of is “whoops,” that probably wasn’t public knowledge at the minute but it most definitely is now. There is nothing to suggest that these will have any sort of effect on each other but the production of the two is definitely tied to together.

If you missed any of the Mortal Kombat: Legacy shows, then you can watch them here on YouTube.
