No new Star Wars games from EA until after March 2014

Yesterday, EA announced a deal with The Walt Disney Company that made them the exclusive developer of “core” Star Wars games. These games will be delivered on “all interactive platforms” and will run on the Frostbite 3 game engine.
However, gamers who are excited about the new Star Wars games from Battlefield studio DICE and Dead Space developer Visceral Games may want to sit back, and get comfortable.
During their post-earnings financial call today, EA chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen said the company will not be publishing any new Star Wars games during the company’s fiscal year 2014, which runs from April 1st, 2013 through March 31st, 2014.
While this is a bummer, it gives these developers more than enough time to begin working on (hopefully) some kick-ass Star Wars games.
