The studio will have around 60 staff, and they’ve already hired a handful of veterans that worked on Medal of Honor This comes following news that Disney and EA have agreed to a multi-year deal.
DICE’s Star Wars games will use the Frostbite engine 3; which is obviously used in Battlefield 3. Karl-Magnus Troedsson, the company’s general manager has been reported as saying that he’s aware of the new studio having to go head-to-head with Activision’s Infinity Ward and Treyarch Call of Duty operations, due to the studios being situated in the same are of Southern California.
“There is an extreme talent pool over [there] that we want a part of, It’s no secret that our main competitor is there.”
So, does anyone have high hopes? Or is that just me?
