(UPDATE) Malware disguised as fake GTA V app

It seems that the app was recently taken down. Even so, stay alert for any copycat apps on Android.
Before Grand Theft Auto V‘s launch, Rockstar put out its companion app dubbed iFruit for iOS and, at some point, Android. The app allows users to customize their cars, even down to the license plate, as well as train Franklin’s dog, Chop. However, there’s a fake GTA V app in the Google Play store that users should stay far away from.
Called Grand Theft Auto: iFruit, the app is nothing more than malware meant to steal users’ information, if the 651 reviews are to be believed. Android users, steer clear of this app, and keep in mind that the iFruit app has yet to launch for Android. For now, it’s only available on iOS.
