Guy who bought a picture of an Xbox One gets a free one from CEX

Authored by

By now the majority of us have heard about the guy who spent £450 on a faded picture of an Xbox One on eBay, if not you can read it here. But now some happy news, CEX a UK retailer which are selling PlayStation 4s at insane prices have done something nice, they’ve given the poor guy a “free Xbox One”.

Mr Clatworthy who was the guy that bought the picture said:

“This shows there are some nice, kind people out there and it’s really overwhelming. I can’t thank them enough.

I’ve had other people contact me to say they have been stung too but not reported it. I don’t think I’ll be shopping online anymore. I think McKenzie (His four year old son) is going to be over the moon. this is the thing he said to me that he really wanted. I can’t wait to see his face, it’ll be a picture.”

Clatworthy also received a refund on eBay, but he hasn’t specified if he had to return the picture or not. This isn’t the first controversy we’ve seen since the next-gen launch, and it’ll no doubt be the last.

They shouldn’t have gave the guy a free Xbox One. He the dumb ass who read that he was getting a picture of an Xbox One and then proceeded to purchase it.
