Gamescom 2013: Shuhei Yoshida gives us a tour of the PS4 UI
Authored by Alex Co
Before Sony’s actual gamescom press event began, on the stage sitting on a chair was Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida just playing with the PS4′s UI (User Interface).
If you weren’t able to catch it live or simply want to re-live it again, the video’s included above.
It’s honestly hard to say at this point if Sony choosing to discard the XMB interface was the right call or not. I’ve been using it since the PSP days and found it intuitive. While this might be a concern for some, the actual UI demoed did look simplistic enough and in some cases, mimicked the XMB.
Based on what you’ve seen so far, are you liking the PS4′s UI or should Sony let consumers personalize it aesthetically themselves?
