Fans trash Call of Duty booth at games expo for free $200 editions of Ghosts

The Call of Duty booth at Milan Games week, Italy, was trashed so badly that it had to be closed down. Here’s why.
Someone at Activision came up with the brilliant idea of handing out $200 editions of the upcoming title, CoD: Ghosts, to the first 500 people who turned up at their stall. Eyewitnesses say that it started off all fine and dandy, but as the crowd grew bigger, the whole thing turned into a battleground with people going crazy to get their hands on a copy.
A reporter from Italy’s Il Messaggero newspaper has confirmed that people were being kicked, shoved, and even slapped (because that always works when you want something so bad). Oh dear!
