EA extends FIFA license to 2022

Authored by

It sounds like EA will be continuing to release FIFA, we all saw this coming right? FIFA is a strong game, even though I don’t care about it one bit. This comes shortly after news that EA registered a bunch of Battlefield domains, right up to 20.

It sounds like EA have a lot of confidence in their games. Under the agreement, EA have the exclusive rights to release the FIFA games as well as the rights to be the Presenting Partner of the FIFA franchise.

“EA SPORTS released the first FIFA-branded soccer game in 1993, and 20 years later our partnership with FIFA continues to be very strong. Our franchise has become the benchmark for quality and innovation in the sports videogame genre, and we look forward to many more years of connecting with consumers around the world with our games carrying the prestigious FIFA name.”

said Andrew Wilson, Executive Vice President and Head of EA SPORTS.

This is hardly unexpected news, but it is great news for FIFA fans everywhere! It also means…next-gen FIFA

  1. Nothing against FIFA, or FIFA fans in general. But aside from player rosters being updated, how much more could you improve your game about soccer? I mean i’m not a big FIFA fan or soccer fan, but, is everything you could do IRL already in game?

  2. I know this web page provides quality depending articles or reviews and other data, is there any other web page which presents these kinds of stuff in quality?
